In 2004 (after 15yrs at a dealership) Sheldon opened the doors to his own business. Sheldon is a red seal certified licensed technician, who after many years of repairing vehicles, still enjoys the challenge of troubleshooting and solving that unexplainable electrical issue..Tina Merrett

The smiling face behind the counter and friendly voice on the phone. Putting her receptionist skills to good work, Tina joined her husband in 2009 to help run the family business. In addition to keeping the paper work in order, Tina has learned a lot about the automotive repair world and is eager to help customers.Justin Merrett

Joining the family business in April 2022, Justin is currently working on the apprenticeship qualification levels to become a licensed technician. But don’t let a piece of paper fool you. Having grown up around cars and with the guidance of his father, he has obtained lots of automotive knowledge throughout the years. If you purchase a pre-owned vehicle with an inspection sticker older than 30 days, then the vehicle has to be re-inspected. At Under The Hood Auto Service we provide a pre-owned vehicle inspection, consisting of a road test, scan for codes that may be stored in the computer, inspect AC operation, test battery, inspect fluid levels, belts, hoses, lights, tire wear. Visually inspect brakes, suspension, exhaust and the body of the vehicle for holes and rust. You will receive a complete report of the inspection.
